Next month, Edmond voters will have the opportunity to vote on a $91 million bond for Edmond Public Schools. In addition to stadium and classroom learning upgrades, the funds would be used to build safe rooms in every school in the district. Currently, the district’s safe rooms can house roughly 8,000 students. With the proposed plan, the safe rooms would house 15,000 more.
